Ravioli In Basil Cream Sauce

  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen ravioli
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano (Giant Food)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt



PREPARE frozen ravioli according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
MELT 2 tablespoons butter in a copper / steel pan over medium heat. Add green onions, garlic, and Italian
seasoning; saute' for 6 minutes. Stir in diced tomatoes, basil, and cream; bring to boil. Reduce heat,
simmer; stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese; add salt. Stir in ravioli, tossing to coat.
